Hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Hannah is a recent graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at the Washington National Opera and a National Semi-Finalist in the 2023 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Last season she returned to WNO to cover Jess in the world premier of Jeanine Tesori's GROUNDED, a role she had the great privilege of developing in the workshop with WNO in partnership with the Metropolitan Opera. On the concert stage, she'll appear as a soloist with the Lexington Philharmonic in the 2025-26 season in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

ABOUT

The joyful, 30-minute cantata benefited from... golden-voiced singing from five personality-rich soloists. The women’s trio [including] Hannah Shea created a moment of lyrical bliss in the penultimate aria. (Bach Magnificat)
